Synopsis

Charlie returns from boarding school to care for her ailing mother, Laura, the owner of a small organic egg farm in rural New Jersey. It’s hard to take care of her mother, run the farm on her own, and keep up with her studies. Their daily life on the farm, already strained by years of unspoken resentment, is turned upside down when Laura’s mother Solange shows up unannounced! Solange is an eccentric French feminist who left America many years ago. She never had a good relationship with her daughter. Laura’s sudden illness motivates them to reconnect. But can these three women, so different from each other, learn to live with each other? To fight the unexpected bird flu epidemic threatening the farm, they must overcome their conflicts. Only love and laughter can heal old wounds and help them accept each other’s differences.
